Artist Statement

My pastel paintings explore how light relates to us physically and spiritually. Landscapes offer us spiritual enlightment, but there is also a colourful light play across the physical realm. Combining these elements, one cannot help but to discover a kindred spirit within ourselves, the celestial and the material components of the earth; all considered in its entirety.
